We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Sous Chef to work alongside our award-winning Head Chef and join our pre-opening team at Sachi, one of Sunset Hospitality Groups first UK opening.

The Role
This role is ideal for an ambitious Senior Sous Chef eager to contribute at the highest level, leading kitchen operations, delighting guests, and inspiring the team. You will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring that every dish meets our rigorous standards.
- Lead and mentor the kitchen team to ensure culinary excellence and consistency
- Work with the Head Chef on menu planning, recipe development, and innovative dish creation
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
- Assist in managing kitchen staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, quality, and equipment maintenance
- Manage food and labour costs through effective inventory management and waste reduction
- Work with the Head Chef to set menu pricing for optimal profitability
- Adapt to changes and challenges in the kitchen environment with agility
- Identify training needs and provide coaching and development opportunities for the team
- Communicate expectations clearly and effectively to ensure team alignment and high performance
About You
- Current experience as a Senior Sou Chef or an experienced Sous Sous within a luxury, Michelin-starred, or destination restaurant
- Previous experience in Japanese cuisine
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
- Proven track record in menu development executing diverse culinary concepts
- Experience in leading, training, and developing a high-performing kitchen team
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to build and maintain a cohesive and motivated team
