Job Description

Lagardère Travel Retail is one of the world leaders in Travel Retail, serving passengers in airports, railway stations and other concessions in 42 countries. One of the two divisions of the Lagardère group, Lagardère Travel Retail meets the needs of passengers and licensors in a holistic way through a network of more than 5 000 Travel Essentials, Duty Free & Fashion and Foodservice outlets. The group has established an ambitious CSR roadmap called P.E.P.S (Planet.Ethics.People.Social), in order to contribute to the construction of a more sustainable industry. In 2023, Lagardère Travel Retail generated €6.6bn sales.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

-Lead the strategic planning and execution of global Vendors Supply Chain activities across more than 30 countries

-Collaborate with other departments to align Supply Chain strategies with overall business goals

-Define and guaranty achievement of Supply Chain main KPI’s (logistic costs, overla P&L as well as main Supply chain KPI’s (service rate, stock coverage, …)

-Ensure consistency of the end to end solutions with the Operational Performance teams, and particularly with the Head of Local Supply Chain

-Oversee logistics, procurement management, and demand forecasting for the centrally managed Duty Free & fashions operations.

-Implement process improvements and technological innovations to enhance efficiency.

-Contribute to the definition of the best roads to markets for tenders as well as for run activities

-Develop and maintain relationships with global vendors, seeking to optimize value.

-Manage and mentor the Global Vendors Supply Chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


DETAIL OF ACTIVITIES

Driving the strategical roadmap for the Global vendors Supply chain activities

-Elaborating the Global Supply chain strategic roadmap in cooperation with the other departments (within and outside the Commercial Department) and with the Supply chain community, both on the short and the long term views

-Animating and coordinating Regional Supply chain teams: performance monitoring, benchmark, best practices sharing

-Coordinating and facilitating the deployment of the Global Supply chain roadmap. Structuring priority activities into international projects and plan for the necessary resource allocation

-Monitoring the overall performance of Supply Chain activities on the base of clear, shared KPIs and international benchmarks

Developing and implementing the flow management strategy for the Global Supply Chain

-Defining the strategic and operational orientations of the supply chain in the long and medium term (management of flows, sales forecasts, supply planning).

-Be responsible for designing, organizing and optimizing the flow of logistics information between the various players (internal and external) in the supply chain.

-Continuously thinking about how to improve and develop the supply chain

-Coordinating and synchronizing all supply chain activities (from vendors to first point of reception in countries)

-Defining and monitoring Supply chain set of KPI’s

-Manage the supply chain budget.

Constantly driving efficiency thru innovation and operational performance improvement

-Setting up dashboards to monitor activity in terms of technical results.

-Setting up and monitoring supply chain performance measurement indicators and reporting on them.

-Monitor the operational implementation of the action plans defined and make any necessary corrective adjustments.

-Leading a continuous improvement process for logistics processes

-Maximizing Service rates while minimizing stock coverage

-Identify and propose new technologies and enhancement of current ones for cost savings and/or quality improvement

-Developing relationships service providers and creating new partnerships.

-Align priorities with the IT team of Lagardere Travel Retail and validate requirements for the requests coming from Operations teams.

-Design, udpate and promote SOP on key tasks to facilitate onboarding, within and outside the organisation and ensure homogeneity when possible

Managing teams

-Leading, coordinating and controlling team

-Assess team performance.

-Manage human resources (recruitment, annual interviews, training, etc.).

Developing customer and vendors relations

-Developing and leading the activities and services offered to countries and ensuring customer satisfaction.

-Analyzing countries needs in order to anticipate demand.

-Developing relationships with suppliers logistics teams and implementing specific collaborations with key vendors

-Supporting the Commercial teams in the negotiation of logistic items (MOQ, Lead time, Incoterms, …)


BACKGROUND AND SKILLSET

Educational background

Master degree or equivalent

Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Required skills and experience:

-Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

-Expertise in global supply chain management and international trade regulations.

-Proficiency in supply chain software and SAP systems.

-Strong analytical skills, with a track record of improving supply chain processes.

-Expertise in vendor management.

-Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

-Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chain operations.

-Multilingual capabilities for international communication

-Leadership: Inspiring and guiding teams towards achieving supply chain objectives.

-Communication: Clearly conveying ideas and building strong relationships with team members and clients.

-Problem-solving: Quickly resolving supply chain issues with creative and effective solutions.

Hard skills :

-Proficiency in handling and optimizing international logistics, including import/export & customs regulations.

-Ability to secure the best services providers and support negotiations of cost-effective contracts.

-English is a must, French is a plus

-Skilled in using data to forecast trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions.

-Continuous optimization of the supply chain process to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

-SAP Expertise and information technology systems relevant to supply chain operations.

-Ability to identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.


GEOGRAPHICAL MOBILITY

-Location: preferably based in Paris

-Average 3 days weekly presence in Paris
