E-Cargo Bike Implementation and Operational Manager

The E-Cargo Bike Implementation and Operational Manager will play a key role in achieving the company's ESG objectives while ensuring operational excellence.

You will be accountable for:

• Performance Management: Oversee the performance metrics of our bike riders and provide continuous improvement training, ensuring efficiency and high service standards.
• E-Cargo Implementation Plan: Spearhead the setup and rollout of the e-cargo bike implementation plan, aligning with the company's ESG goals.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure the successful implementation and optimal performance of the e-cargo bikes within the operational framework.
• Maintenance & Legislation: Manage bike maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation. You will be trained in full to perform maintenance on the bikes.
• Rider Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of riders to confirm their suitability for operating e-cargo bikes.
• Asset Management: Take responsibility for the asset management of the bikes, maintaining an accurate inventory and overseeing asset utilisation.
• Fleet Management: Direct fleet management activities, optimizing the use of e-cargo bikes to meet delivery demands.
• Coaching & Development: Provide coaching and development for bike riders, promoting best practices in sustainable delivery operations.
• Service Quality & Compliance: Maintain the highest quality of service and ensure rider compliance with company policies and standards.
• Cost Management: Manage the CPU (cost per unit) effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency in e-cargo bike operations.

To be successful in this role you will require the following…

Qualifications:

• Full UK Driving License
• Proven experience in operational management, preferably in logistics or fleet management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of e-cargo bikes and sustainable transportation methods.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and asset management principles.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Commitment to sustainability and ESG principles.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Programme management (or similar)
• Influencing the strategic direction of a business or business area
• Experience and knowledge of working to environmental improvements

Technical & People Skills:

• Problem solving, attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Logical problem solver
• Strong ethics and ability to influence peers
• MS Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint
• Strong stakeholder management to be able to influence at all levels,
• Strong leadership skills
• Able to constructively challenge a diverse range of stakeholders
