Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Manager in Corporate Assets for my Local Authority client in Cumbria.


This is a 6 - 12 month interim assignment with possibilty of extension also.


The successful candidate needs to have prior experience ideally working in a Regulatory Service Council setting such as:


  • Building Control
  • Environmental Services (Trading standards, Health and Safety, Food Safety)
  • Planning Enforcement
  • Anti-social behaviour


Desirable - Chartered membership of RICS and previous work history in an Estates/Property Team across Corporate Assets.


Role overview:

  • Contract Management.
  • People/Performance Management.
  • Responsibility for General Practice Surveyors in the Estates team and identifying resolutions to backlogged cases.
  • Commercial Acumen.
  • Strong financial understanding with the ability to deliver and signpost budgets.
  • Comfortable reporting into Director/Board/Councillor level.
  • Priority around managing Asset Management software - Concerto system.
  • Hybrid working - 3 days per week split between office/onsite presence.
  • Initial 6–12-month temporary assignment
  • Access to own vehicle (desirable) can use Council pool car.


Day rate is negotiable.
