Job Description

Role: VMware Automation Engineer (VRA/VRO)

Location: Remote with Occasional Visit

Contract Inside IR35


Education Level: Diploma/B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc in Computer Science/IT preferred (or any engineering field considered) or equivalent


  1. Experience: Total IT Experience should be at least 10Years and out of that 5Y exclusive experience on automation
  2. Must have experience with VRA/VRO & Ansible


Primary Skills

  • Develop and manage deployment, reporting, and project solutions with scripting, automation and orchestration tools (like vRealize Orchestrator)
  • Design and implement technology solutions based on VMware products and provide support for escalated performance issues within this product suite
  • Identify opportunities, develop solutions & drive improvements across the Virtualization platforms
  • Collaborate with the wider Design and architecture teams to contribute to solution designs and develop standards
  • Define, deploy and manage processes and tools for continuous integration (CI/CD), test-driven development, and release management
  • Should have good SME skills on Ansible and able to write complex Playbook for infrastructure automation
  • Experience and knowledge in writing vRO workflows, configuration & integration with external/3rd party tools
  • Good coding skills in major languages such as Java, Python or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of Terraform Platform
  • Should have experience in automating infrastructure systems ( Windows/Linux etc.,)
  • Must have integration skills for various platforms (X86,OS, Virtualization etc.,)
  • Financial Domain experience
  • Provide Architecture solution to develop Self Service Portal and Infrastructure automation.

  • Ability to work effectively with distributed team
  • Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long-term objectives
  • Passionate about technology and solving IT operations-focused problems
  • Must be detail oriented, task driven, and have excellent communication skills. Customer service focus is key
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, peers and others in and outside the organization to accomplish goals, objectives and to identify and resolve problems
  • Multiple Hypervisors experience, to be able to manage independently
  • Have worked in global teams and have led large transformation technically
