Duty Manager

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for two Duty Managers to support the delivery of a world class visitor experience across our Shakespeare Family Homes. You will be responsible for managing day to day visitor operations, including the training and supervision of staff and volunteers.

Other responsibilities include adhering to fire, security, Health & Safety, cash handling and data protection; understanding own and teams role within the emergency plans; responsible for holding keys unlocking and securing the site and grounds; undertaking checks throughout the day to ensure we meet standards desired for our visitors; and deliver admissions and secondary spend targets.

To be successful in this role you will have experience of supervising a customer facing team and delivering against a range of KPIs including financial and visitor satisfaction targets. You will possess a sound understanding of customer service principles, be able to prioritise and make confident operational decisions under pressure, and have experience of cash handling, building management and security procedures.

The post holder will be required to work 1,820 hours per year. It will be over seven days including Bank Holidays on a rota basis with other Duty Managers. There will also be a requirement to manage and attend some out of hours events.
