Trade Counter Assistant

Meridian are looking for a motivated person to join the team at its Enfield depot. Customer Service is at the heart of our operation and the successful candidate will be confident, able to interact with customers and have excellent communication skills.

The role will include, but not be limited to:

• Engaging with customers both on the trade counter and over the telephone.
• Taking orders and picking product
• Loading company vehicles in a safe and accurate manner
• Unloading and checking deliveries and putting stock away in the correct areas.
• Driving, you will be required to undertake customer deliveries and also collect stock from suppliers.
• You will ideally have experience of driving a forklift and will be willing to obtain a licence.
• You will operate within the companies strategies and polices and will keep all work areas clean and tidy.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• The role will involve meeting targets, working within time frames and being flexible in your approach to work.
• Some office administration will be required.

The Successful candidate will have:

• A full clean drivers licence held for a minimum of 2 years, and preferably be 25 or over for insurance purposes
• Knowledge or experience of working in a similar environment.
• Excellent verbal and non verbal communication skills
• Ideally be educated to GCSE Level 5 in English and Mathematics
• Preferably have their own transport
• Have good work ethics and be flexible
