Head of Architecture

Our client, a prestigious retail Bank with a reputation for offering an outstanding service to customers, is looking to appoint a Head of Architecture to take ownership of the Bank’s enterprise and solutions architecture, leading the practice across the Transformation and Technology department.

Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, you will collaborate with senior leadership to articulate the North Star architecture, setting the vision for the organisation's future state. You will translate the high-level strategy into a tangible, actionable plan that guides decision making on budget, investment, and resource allocation. You will own the governance framework to ensure delivery of new capabilities is in line with the strategic blueprint. Finally, you will lead the organisation and maturation of the architecture Target Operating Model.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned enterprise architect with hands-on experience of defining, building and delivering architecture strategies and be an effective relationship builder to manage key Technology leaders. You will have a strong foundation in IT architecture principles and methodologies. You will have experience establishing and operating effective architectural governance practices that is supportive of overall strategic aims.
