In-house Legal Counsel

A rapidly growing global FinTech company specialising in payments is looking for a dynamic in-house counsel to join their legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support their expanding volume of SaaS agreements with enterprise and mid-market clients, and to help build the legal framework and infrastructure to support the rapid business growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development in a short space of time, with the option to quickly become permanent.

Your new role

• Supporting the sales and account management teams in all aspects of customer agreements, from developing internal strategy, NDAs, through to negotiation and closing of full SaaS agreements.
• Resolve client queries in contract negotiations.
• Assist with legal reviews and RFP responses.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, GDPR, and IP.
• Provide HR and company secretarial assistance across seven jurisdictions.
• Pre- and post-investment related assistance, together with CFO and external counsel, including continual maintenance of the data room.
• Assisting with maintenance and improvements of contract management processes and systems as well as the implementation and enforcement of contract policies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with ideally 2-4 years PQE (guidelines only) and in-house experience.
• Be immediately available or with a short notice period. The start date is ASAP.
• Experienced in managing and negotiating contracts and data privacy, preferably in FinTech/Payments.
• Knowledgeable in data privacy rules and company secretary filings.
• Skilled in customer/partner negotiations and explaining contract terms.
• Experience with payment schemes is a plus.
