Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Assistant to join the Water Production team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

As a Process Assistant you will be at the forefront of the business and have responsibility together with your fellow team members for consistently producing high quality water at the lowest cost.

Where you fit in:

As our Process Assistant you will

  • Your duties will revolve around two key areas: assisting with process optimisation, and the proactive maintenance and operation of the treatment plants and sludge systems to ensure smooth operation of the production site.
  • Maintenance and operation of the company's production assets.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of process systems and tanks
  • Management of chemical deliveries
  • Supporting optimisation of production assets
  • Maintenance and operation of the companys sludge systems
  • Flexible working including weekends
  • Maintaining and promoting a safe working environment
  • Supporting the team to liaise with Capital projects, primarily under guidance of Process Engineers, but also Asset Management representatives.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • An open and flexible attitude
  • A belief in the Company's values and behaviours.
  • Excellent team playing ability
  • An ability to problem solve through analysis, investigation and resolution when faced with a challenge, even when outside the boundaries of your day-to-day activities
  • An appreciation of water treatment processes. This is desirable although not essential
  • A full valid EU driving licence is required for this role

If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a Third-Party Company, prior to commencing employment.
