Community Nurse Team Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the community nursing team of Badenoch & Strathspey to job share with the present Band 7 District Nurse Team Lead for a fixed term period of one year, this post is 14.5 hours per week.

The successful candidate will share the management of a team of 15 dedicated Nurses, and HCSWs. Covering 4 GP practices across the district.

The Team Lead provides day to day leadership for the delivery of patient care utilising high levels of decision making and clinical judgement to ensure that patient health needs are met whilst also giving support and supervision to staff.

The successful candidate will also support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries implementing and evaluating evidence based standards guidelines and policies.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
