Goods Movement Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Working hours: Minimum 36 per week with flexitime; early finish on Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Control:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
• Record and report discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date stock records in the inventory management system.

Order Packaging:

• Prepare and package customer orders accurately and efficiently according to company standards.
• Ensure that all packaged goods are properly labelled and include necessary documentation.
• Inspect packaging materials and finished packages for quality and completeness.

Operational Support:

• Assist in receiving and unloading incoming shipments.
• Verify and record incoming stock, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and packaging areas.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).

Experience:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, stock control, or goods movement role is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages and stand for extended periods.
• Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office.
