Job Title: Setting Out Engineer (Groundworks)

Location: Lincolnshire

Pay Rate: £350 Per Day

Start: ASAP

Duration: Temp-Perm

Barker Ross are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Setting Out Engineer specialising in Groundworks to join our clients dynamic team. As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of various construction projects. Your expertise in setting out and surveying will ensure that all groundwork activities are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.

You will work closely with project managers, site managers, and other key stakeholders to interpret project plans and specifications, translating them into precise construction lines and levels on-site. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate measurements and making necessary adjustments to align with project requirements.

Additionally, you will oversee the use of machinery and equipment, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and on schedule. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will be vital in coordinating with different trades and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities:

Setting out construction sites according to design specifications.
Interpreting and understanding engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Ensuring accuracy of site layout and alignment as per project instructions.
Overseeing groundworks activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Collaborating with site teams to track progress and resolve issues promptly.
Conducting regular site inspections and quality checks on work completed.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, particularly in groundworks.
Strong proficiency in using surveying equipment and tools.
Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
