Langley has a fantastic opportunity for a strategic, innovative and results drivenHead of People Operationsto effectively lead the HR team; ensuring excellent customer service and supporting the organisation to deliver its strategy and mission, ensuring an outstanding people experience. Reporting to the Director of People, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, working within a supportive network with opportunities for personal and professional development.

The post holder will be based in the Coventry Office (minimum two days per week) and includes a hybrid working model with opportunities for remote working and may require some unsocial work hours. The role will include the requirement to travel throughout England to various sites and locations on planned dates.

This role is a permanent full time role working37 hoursper week. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of£52,977per annum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the functions of the HR team (HR Business Partnering, People & Payroll Administration, Recruitment, People Systems) to provide a professional, proactive, responsive, and expert service across Langley, facilitating the creation of a high-performance culture in line with the strategic objectives and the People Strategy.
  • Ensure the provision of professional people services, advice and guidance across all levels of the Trust, including advice on employment legislation, recruitment and selection, retention, absence management, terms, and conditions of employment, pay and equality diversity and inclusion.
  • Ensure that the HR People Service team has effective and innovative policies, procedures and systems covering all aspects of work.
  • Provide reports and information on People performance metrics, risks, compliance and progress on projects and the implementation of the People Strategy.
  • To work with the Director of People to ensure Langley Trust is an employer of choice, that we recruit and retain talented people ensuring an excellent employment experience.

The successful candidate will be a practicing Christian who will create an environment where people feel valued, empowered and equipped to do their best work. This person will play a key part in providing strong Christian leadership and will be required to upholdthe Trusts Christian ethos and Christ like culture, aligned with ourChristian Identity, and therefore there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practicing and professing Christian under the Equality Act 2010.
