Planning Officer

Job Title: Temporary Planning Officer (6-Month Appointment)

Job Description:
Hays Recruitment is seeking an experienced Planning Officer for a temporary 6-month appointment. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling both Minor and Major planning applications, bringing their expertise and strategic insight to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, manage, and make recommendations on Minor and Major planning applications.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Provide professional advice on planning matters for stakeholders

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Planning Officer at a Senior or Principal level. Demonstrated ability at handling complex planning applications.
Previous experience working within a local authority planning department is essential.
Excellent knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines.
