Job Description
We are hiring a Multi-Skilled Automation Engineer at our Peterborough depot.
Shift Pattern:
* 4 on 4 off nights (18:00 to 06:00).
* First week: normal office hours for training and induction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactive and reactive maintenance of warehouse systems.
* Support technical department with planning, instruction, and supervision.
* Use the Agility maintenance system to record activities and suggest improvements.
* Manage spare parts inventory and place orders as needed.
* Coordinate complex repairs and overhauls.
* Schedule mechanics and operators, track disruptions, and ensure safety procedures.
* Collaborate with departments for timely actions.
* Occasionally work at heights and in cold environments (-18°C).
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in a similar industry.
* NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in mechanical and electrical fields.
* Experience with PLC and PC-controlled automated systems.
* Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to learn, work in cold conditions, and drive to the site.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
