Summary:
Reporting to the Managing Director, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic National Business Development Manager with a strong background in technical sales in the industrial sector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business growth, building strategic partnerships, and leveraging technical expertise to secure and expand client relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the technical aspects of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify, target, and secure new clients through various sales and marketing initiatives.
* Independently manage leads and targeting priority markets.
* Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
* Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and trends to drive business growth.
* Collaborate with senior management to align business development strategies with company goals.
* Utilise technical knowledge to understand client needs and recommend suitable products or solutions.
* Provide technical support and guidance throughout the sales process to ensure successful product integration and deployment.
* Collaborate with the engineering, product development, CSS and other stakeholders to address technical challenges and deliver customised solutions.
Sales Performance and Reporting:
* Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs in line with company objectives.
* Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management.
* Monitor and analyse sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
* Participate in discussions to provide insights on market needs and client feedback.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development sales in a B2B environment in the industrial sector.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
* An engineering degree or qualification is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
* Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
