Job Description

anzuk are working closely with a provision to provide effective, long term support for male students with ASC and complex needs including some behavioural needs.

The school cater to students that have high levels of SEN and may require support with personal & intimate care and 1:1 supervision at all times. Due to the sensitive nature of the role they are keen to ensure that successful candidates can integrate as seamlessly as possible by finding the right balance of staff.

The school has specified for this role to maintain the modesty of the students they would prefer a Teaching Assistants who identify as male, however all applicants will be considered.

Job Role: Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Location: Bristol, UK
Salary: A Daily Rate of £90 - £117

Mandatory Requirements for Teaching Assistants:

* A valid right to work in the UK

* Live within 1 Hour Commuting Distance

* Previous experience working in a school with SEND students

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues

* Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the high needs of students and the school community

* Flexibility to work across all age ranges as we can't guarantee age groups for these bookings

* Without these requirements, we cannot hire you for this role *
* We cannot offer sponsorship for this position *

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting an established, dedicated teaching staff that foster positive learning environments, and empower students to reach their full potential.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will:

* Qualified in behaviour management techniques, such as Team Teach, or a willingness to gain the qualification if and when required

* Assist classroom teachers in delivering small intervention group work for groups with behaviour needs and physical needs, including personal care

* Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance with their learning, ensuring that individual goals are met, academic and otherwise

* Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and interventions

* Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported

* Help to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and conflict resolution among students
