We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Youth Justice Service Practitioner to join our client's team. This is a temporary role offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of children and families in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work directly with children, young people, and their families to address issues related to offending and anti-social behavior.
* Deliver support programs and interventions based on effective practices.
* Facilitate restorative justice processes.
* Attend Youth Courts and provide court duty cover (after training).
* Conduct assessments and manage caseloads.
* Maintain accurate records and reports.
* Collaborate with families, professionals, and community agencies.
Ideal Candidate:
* Has a relevant degree or equivalent experience in social work, youth justice, or a similar field.
* Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
* Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with a diverse range of people.
* Is a skilled problem-solver with a solution-focused approach.
* Has a strong understanding of child development and the factors that can lead to offending.
* Is a team player with the ability to work independently.
