Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Administrator / Personal Assistantto support a Director within a localauthority organisation near Penrith.
As the Personal Assistant to the Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Directors daily activities. This position requires a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
3 days home working. (optional)
2 daysrequired in their nearby office locations of Penrith or South Lakeland.
Pay & Hours:
£15.70 per hour
37.5 hrs per week
Monday - Friday
This is a 6 month temporary contract, with a view to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diary Management: Organise and manage the Directors schedule, including meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Communication: Act as the first point of contact for the Director, managing incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, calls, and correspondence.
- Meeting Coordination: Prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action points from meetings.
- Document Preparation: Draft, review, and edit documents, presentations, and reports as required.
- Travel Arrangements: Plan and book travel, accommodation, and itineraries for the Director.
- Research & Reporting: Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports to assist in decision-making processes.
- Liaison: Liaise with internal and external associates & colleagues, maintaining positive relationships on behalf of the Director.
- Office Management: Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, expense reporting, and managing office supplies.
- Special Projects: Support the Director with special projects and initiatives as required.
