Full-Time Temporary Primary Teacher

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Temporary Primary Teacher . This position will commence as soon as possible and continue until January 31, 2025 or the return of the incumbent. The initial assignment will include teaching in multi-graded primary classroom on a Hutterite Colony. Cleardale is a small farming community in northern Alberta located about 170 kms west of Peace River. Cleardale Colony School serves students from grades 1 to 9. Division housing may be available for school staff. Qualifications : Experience and/or knowledge of multi-graded classroom instruction Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success Proven ability to differentiate lessons and assessment to support students’ achievement Additional Skills : Strong classroom management skills Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents Ability to contribute to a positive, safe and caring learning environment An understanding of Hutterian community and culture Requirements: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check Please note, record check must be less than six (6) months old to date of your application. Annual Salary Range: $ 62, 702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).
