The Community LPN administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures. Assesses and monitors client/family’s actual and potential strengths and limitations including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs. Where appropriate, encourages client participation in activities of daily living The scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population. The LPN Provides nursing care within the LPN Standards of Practice as outlined by British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and within employer policies, procedures, limits and conditions. This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions. Shifts of work will be scheduled DAYS rotating from 08:30 to 15:00 About this location/unit: Hardy View Lodge (HVL), located in Grand Forks at Boundary Hospital, embodies a patient-centered philosophy designed to support patients’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility is an 80-bed facility with five cottage style units. 60 beds are all individual with showers in the bathroom area. The 20-bed unit has two semiprivate rooms, and the remaining 16 rooms are private. Apply Today Qualfications • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses and one (1) year of recent, related community, acute care or long-term care experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience • Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives • Current valid BC Driver’s License
