Job title: Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Redbridge, Essex
Pay rate: £90.00 - £100.00 per day depending on experience
Setting: Mainstream Secondary School with Autistic Resource Provision
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Long term with view to go permanent
Active Recruitment are currently working with an Outstanding mainstream Secondary School in Redbridge who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join them as soonn as possible on a long-term basis. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in the educational development and well-being of individuals with special educational needs who would benefit from targeted 1:1 support.
Roles and responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant
* Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting high self-esteem and independence
* Promote high standards of behaviour, responding to incidents in line with the school’s behaviour policy and guidelines on physical intervention
* Adapt communication style to respond to pupils according to their individual needs
* Assist with the development and delivery of individual education and support plans
* Support pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs, escalating concerns where appropriate
