We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 teacher to join our welcoming school in Crawley on a temporary maternity cover basis. This is a full-time position, starting on Monday, 4th November. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, including planning and preparing lessons, and supporting students in their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver

engaging lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum, catering to the diverse needs of all learners.

Assess and track

student progress, providing constructive feedback and ensuring continuous improvement.

Collaborate

with colleagues to contribute to the broader development of the school and participate in school-wide initiatives.

Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Engage with parents, carers, and the wider school community through
parents’ evenings

and other events.Essential Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

or equivalent.
Experience teaching
Key Stage 2

(preferably Year 5).
Strong knowledge of the
national curriculum

and assessment frameworks.

Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.

A commitment to
safeguarding

and promoting the welfare of children.Safeguarding Requirement:A
DBS check

is required for this role. Candidates must either have an up-to-date DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
