About the Role
As our National Sales Manager, youll play a pivotal role in expanding Dawsongroup's presence in the diesel generator market. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you'll lead the charge in driving revenue, increasing profitability, and promoting the hire of diesel generators across the UK. This role is all about seizing opportunities, building strong relationships, and executing strategies that keep us ahead in a competitive market.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Leading Sales Efforts:Youll actively identify and pursue new business opportunities, engaging with potential clients and crafting tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Client Relationship Management:Building and nurturing relationships with both new and existing clients will be key to your success. Youll ensure their needs are met, and expectations exceeded.
  • Sales Strategy Development:Youll develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve national growth targets, setting goals, preparing action plans, and forecasting revenue.
  • Market Analysis:Keeping a close eye on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback will be essential to maintaining a competitive edge.
  • Cross-Selling:Youll promote services across Dawsongroup businesses, generating intercompany leads to maximise client value.
  • Proposal Management:Preparing detailed proposals, delivering persuasive presentations, and negotiating contracts will be part of your daily routine.
  • Performance Reporting:Youll provide the Head of Sales with accurate reports on sales activities, pipeline progress, and financial performance.
  • Team Collaboration:Working closely with internal teams, including operations and marketing, youll ensure seamless service delivery and contribute to the overall strategy and growth of Dawsongroup Power Solutions.

What Were Looking For

  • Essentials:

    • Proven experience in sales management within the power generation or asset rental sector.
    • In-depth understanding of the diesel generator market, with technical knowledge of generator specifications and applications.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
    • Strong analytical skills for interpreting market data and trends.
    • Self-motivated and proactive with a focus on achieving sales targets.
  • Nice to Have:

    • Experience in the renewable energy sector.
    • Familiarity with Dawsongroup's products and services.
