Asset Risk Review Analyst

As the Asset Risk Review Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of industry and market related data to calculate Residual Values (RVs) for all Volkswagen Group (VWG) models. You will use industry guides and data from Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) and VWG remarketing results to prepare and recommend RV proposals for review and ratification by the Residual Value Committee (RVC)

One of your key purposes will be to support the Asset Risk Insight & Strategy Manager with the management and maintenance of core systems and processes to ensure the accurate implementation of RV data into VWFS systems (Connect Online and CALMS). You will provide support and knowledge to multiple stakeholders across VWFS, the VWG Brands, and the retailer network, contributing towards strategic goals and achieving targets

This is what your day might look like:

• You will conduct timely and accurate analysis of industry and market related data, as well as VWFS and VWG remarketing results, to calculate and produce RV reviews in Autofutura for all VWG models in line with the RV review schedule. Review recommendations are explained in detail with supporting data to Asset Risk Management to justify the rationale within the RV proposals.
• You will also be responsible for the analysis, processing, and updating of RV data into core systems used to maintain and produce RVs and RV data, mainly Autofutura. It is critical that the data within the system is up-to-date, monitored, and reviewed, allowing accurate analysis of the market and VWFS RV positioning at any time, as needed.
• Working with data supplied by VWG, you will review new model product information and collate data analysis before recommending RVs to the RVC for new VWG models entering the market. You will ensure the values are ratified in time to meet the launch live-and-quotable dates. This is critical in supporting the VWG brands with the new model launches
• You will expertly utilise available programs and applications including Autofutura, Tableau, and Excel to monitor and analyse the market so that changes to RVs are recommended and implemented swiftly
• You will collaborate with many colleagues across VWFS, VWG and the dealer network, acting as a main point of contact to provide accurate information and data. You will work with colleagues at all levels, including exposure to and engagement with senior management
• You will manage multiple inboxes, responding in a timely and accurate manner to queries such as bespoke RV requests, Fleet tenders, LCV conversions and RV uplifts, as well as reviewing brand product updates
• You will work with Asset Risk Management and the RVC to continuously review RV methodologies and processes, ensuring best practice is recommended and adopted by VWFS, balancing the requirements of stakeholders, e.g. Brands, Sales, Commercial, Risk Management, and HQ.
• You will use your initiative to discover new ways to make the RV processes more efficient, resulting in added value to RVC members and other colleagues where possible. Everything must be documented, with procedures kept up-to-date, and published on netconsent in line with deadlines. You will support Asset Risk management with regular and adhoc data requests from our International Residual Value Management (IRVM) colleagues in HQ. Requests range from supplying latest RVs for a model, or a basket of comparable models, to analysing and calculating indicative RVs for new models that could be up to 2 years from entering the market. This provides them with a vital view of product positioning relative to current models and other markets.

This is what you will bring to the role:

• You will have experience in the automotive finance industry, particularly in analytical/technical roles, with the ability to demonstrate a systematic thought process in your work
• Proven experience of technical report production and data analysis, making recommendations based on the work you have produced
• You can balance supporting your colleagues when needed with working independently
• You can demonstrate that you are able to manage and be responsible for your own workload including short and long-term deadlines, prioritisation and often juggling more than one piece of work simultaneously
• Strong presentation skills are desirable, as well as being able to influence peers and management to buy into your analysis
• Intermediate experience and capabilities in Excel and Tableau are desirable, as well as being able to adapt to and master unfamiliar and new systems required in the role
• Strong relationship building & communication skills are essential in this role so you will have experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders in multiple business areas and be able to demonstrate professional communication skills
