Junior Buyer / Product Developer - Outdoor/ Garden Furniture & Accessories

Our client is a leading retailer of design inspired furniture and homewares due to its ongoing growth and development it is now set to appoint a Junior Buyer to develop its Outdoor, Garden Furniture and Accessories ranges.

You remit will be develop and build cohesive product ranges in line with brand guidelines in order to grow category sales and profitability.

Working with a Senior Buyer you will build the range plan for the department in order to achieve a balance assortment for all customer segments.

You will work closely with the supplier base and sourcing teams in order to ensure products are developed and delivered within the brand and product strategy

Negotiation of cost price and trading terms to maintain and improve margins

Work with merchandise planning on financial parameters

Monitor market and competitor trends

Manage the product procurement critical path for new products and ranges in conjunction with the merchandising/marketing team

Work with the technical and QA teams ensuring product quality is maintained and inline with brand guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have experience of product development / own brand buying within a furniture, home or outdoor living context. A flair for product, design and trends together with commercial, trading and analytical skills.
