PM Pediatrics has conducted hundreds of thousands of telemedicine visits for patients in each of its states. Telemedicine is a rapidly growing area for PM Pediatrics which can easily refer into our PM Pediatrics offices when needed. The offices are set up like EDs, but in a private practice setting with x-ray and lab services on-site, great support staff, and specialty consultations when necessary. The work schedule is flexible with no overnightsDescriptionPM Pediatrics is actively expanding and looking for additional PEM physicians and pediatricians with urgent care experience to join our telemedicine team. Under the guidance of the Regional Telemedicine Medical Director, physicians are responsible for evaluating and providing evidence-based treatment to pediatric urgent care patients seen via telemedicine.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Assess and treat acute injuries and illnesses for telemedicine patientsOversee telemedicine patient flow and daily functions of the telemedicine shiftMaintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes to the management team.Maintains a safe, secure, equitable, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety procedures, quality standards, and complying with legal regulations.Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Update knowledge by participating in continuing education requirements and opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Assist the telemedicine support team and patients with complaints and take an active role in service recovery when neededFocus on efficiency metrics to improve telemedicine urgent care flow, patient experience, and throughput.Demonstrate the ability to efficiently use new software and technology.QualificationsPM Pediatrics looks for people who are motivated, energetic, and passionate about pediatric healthcare and believe in our mission.
