Apply today Description Job Details: Location: 1935 Sargent Ave, Winnipeg MB Working Hours: 40 weekly hours Scheduled Shift: full-time, Monday-Sunday availability required; exact schedule varies depending upon needs (40 hours guaranteed) Pay rate: $20.58 per hour Please note: this position is a temporary, seasonal position that is likely to end at the end of December/beginning of January The Utility Courier picks up and delivers customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules and resolves problems as they arise. Job covers other absent couriers that may be on any work shift. Responsibilities Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules Scan packages / mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR) When inspections fail, the Courier advises the unit manager Requirements Valid non-probationary Driver's License Clean Driving Abstract (please upload a current driver's abstract with your resume) Must successfully pass written & road test(s) Must successfully pass Defensive Driving course Must successfully pass Courier Methods training course Ability to read maps; Good sense of geographical direction Courier methods training and/or work related experience Proper scan and load techniques Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs. Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required Skills Domestic Shipping Courier Services Shipping and Receiving Operations
