Part-Time Temporary Educational Assistant

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.90 f.t.e.) Temporary Educational Assistant at Worsley Central School. This position will commence as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be providing support in various classrooms with students in K-12 with the majority of the assignment working with students in grades six through twelve. Worsley is a small farming community in northern Alberta located about 170 kms west of Peace River. Worsley School serves students from grades K-12. Qualifications: Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent Experience and/or training working with students Skills: Ability to manage and organize programming and instruct in a one-on-one setting Ability to work with children with varied age, skills, level, needs and abilities Excellent communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and a speech-language pathologist Ability to work independently Commitment and accountability Requirements: Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check Please note, record check must be less than six (6) months old to date of your application.
