Job Description

We are delighted to be working with an award-winning children's magazine publisher based in Oxford. We are looking for an Operations Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis working amongst a supportive and friendly team from the company's Oxford office.


The role entails supporting the Deputy Head of Operations in the day-to-day running of the ecommerce shop and customer services, as well as working with the Operations team to help deliver various operational and administrative functions associated with the day-to-day operations of the business.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assisting in the day-to-day running of the Shopify store
  • Providing exceptional customer care
  • Handling all other non-shop related day-to-day customer service enquiries
  • Providing day-to-day point of contact communication with the subscription bureau
  • Liaising with printers and other key suppliers
  • Maintaining accurate subscriber data
  • Providing support within the Operations team as required


This role is perfect for someone with strong office admin experience, who is enthusiastic about learning various facets of the publishing industry. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and organisation skills and the ability to use their initiative, whilst be comfortable both with working independently and in a small team. You will be proactive with a keen eye for detail, and be proficient in Excel.
