Are you an undergrad itching to boost your professional and coding skills? Motability Operations has an exciting opportunity for students to join our Software Engineering team for a year in industry.
During your placement, you won't be on the side-lines - you'll be right in the thick of it, applying and broadening your skills, being an active member of our agile product teams. Your work will revolve around developing and maintaining production software that matters to both our internal and external customers.
We're passionate about fostering collaboration, and that's why every developer carries the same title of 'Software Engineer'. We believe in a level playing field where your voice and ideas count, regardless of your experience level. Of course, your colleagues will be there to guide you every step of the way. Plus, you'll have regular one-on-one chats with a dedicated mentor who'll be there to offer you even more advice and support.

The Software Engineering team is part of the Technology division of the company. Here, we collaborate across diverse agile product teams, consisting of Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, UX Designers, Business Analysts, Product Specialists, Product Owners, and a dedicated Scrum Master. What we do
We lease a wide range of tailored mobility solutions to people who receive of one of the Government's qualifying mobility allowances. Our customers choose a car, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), scooter or powered wheelchair that best suits their needs. We take care of their insurance, breakdown, servicing and more, as part of our worry-free package.
At the end of the lease, our customers can exchange their vehicle for a brand-new model. Each year we sell and move around 200,000 cars. This makes us the largest supplier of single-source vehicles back into the used car market.
The Scheme has been providing affordable, worry-free motoring for over 45 years. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service, with an independent customer satisfaction rating of 9.6 out of 10.
How we work

- Currently in your 2 nd year and on track achieve a 2:1 or better in your degree
- Able to travel to the Bristol Office 3 days a week
- Strong desire to develop new coding skills or enhance existing ones
- Looking to start from July 2025
