Job Description

Position Overview:

The Senior Business Manager oversees and reports into the Sales & Training Manager on all operations of both Parfums de Marly and Initio brands. The individual in this role delivers a captivating, branded customer experience and enables consistent sales growth that can positively represent our luxury brands. This position is a key role in championing Customer Experience to achieve sales goals by developing existing client base and reaching new prospects through networking and outreach strategies. This role will also promote and maintain the company culture fostering values of: Transparency, Recognition, Accountability, and Communication.


MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Manage and grow sales across both Parfums de Marly and Initio.
  • Strengthen brand positioning in store by increasing store ranking.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to make commercial decisions.

  • Build strong customer loyalty by leading by example and holding the team accountable for executing Customer Experience Standards across both brands.
  • Inspire, motivate, and mentor others to achieve sales and customer service targets.
  • Enforce loss prevention and shortage control procedures and maintain all safety standards.
  • Coordinate and attend training sessions, staying current on product knowledge, understand the luxury market and follow business trends.


Sales and Service Commitments

  • To achieve sales by adhering to Sales and Training guidelines.
  • Partner with retailers and independent stores to support events and activations.
  • Establish and implement strategies with in-store teams to drive brand loyalty and increase sales.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to grow the sales business through rigorous planning, evaluation, and coordination of project activity.
  • Expert in fragrance knowledge.
  • Set daily goals and review throughout the day.
  • Traffic stop with 'new' launches, promotions, and key fragrances.
  • Approach customers with an enthusiastic and positive manner.
  • Listen and identify customer needs.
  • Maximize 'hook backs' to encourage customers to return.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years within the luxury sales sector - retail beauty or fragrance industry experience, preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience with a proven track record of business and team development.
  • Exceptional client service/customer experience approach and mentality.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Possess a core understanding of PARFUMS de MARLY & Initio brands.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills always looking to identify new functional growth opportunities.
  • Proactively maintain shop floor standards.
  • Able to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events.
  • Willing to take on new challenges/opportunities as they arise.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Visual Merchandising

  • Ensure all displays are in accordance with Company Visual Merchandising guidelines and planograms.
  • Communicate any VM opportunities- additional space or sites to your Country Manager.
  • Report any snagging issues promptly.
  • Ensure the Fragrance portfolio is fully stocked and that all products are stored by brand to maximize our sales in store.


Communication

  • To ensure awareness of current and new business initiatives and to provide feedback to the Country Manager.
  • Provide regular feedback to your Sales & Training Manager, on issues affecting business performance.
  • Ensure that you have briefed store staff on our events and marketing calendar to gain engagement with our brands.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all store-based and Initio colleagues.


Code of Conduct and Personal Appearance

  • Comply with Store start and finishing times and meal breaks.
  • Represent Company image through personal appearance, interpersonal skills, and style.
  • Comply with the uniform and grooming standards as outlined.
  • Ensure that absences are notified on the first day to the Store, Area Manager.
  • Abide by Initio and Store rules at all times.
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment and delivering on expectations numerate, able to interpret sales information and recognize trends.
  • Flexible – able to adapt.
