  • Professional Growth: With access to on-the-job training, continuous professional development, and a chance to work closely with specialists, this is an incredible opportunity to expand your skills and grow your career.

What You'll Do:

  • Support Therapy & Care: Assist SLTs with both individual pupils and group sessions, working in the classroom and specialist therapy spaces to enhance pupils' access to the curriculum.
  • Hands-on Learning: Help with dysphagia management under guidance, maintain therapy materials, and provide essential input in reports, assessments, and meetings.
  • Organisational Support: Keep things running smoothly with administrative duties, including maintaining therapy records and preparing resources for the department.
  • Inspire & Contribute: Be an integral part of the school’s development and the wider community of Speech and Language UK by sharing your knowledge, supporting SLT students on placement, and contributing to curriculum innovation.

Who We're Looking For:

We’re searching for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic about working with children with SLCN and supporting their progress.
  • Can work collaboratively with SLTs, teachers, and other team members to help pupils achieve their best.
  • Has an eye for detail and can handle administrative tasks with efficiency and care.
  • Is eager to learn and develop professionally, whether it’s through CPD, hands-on experience, or gaining proficiency in tools like Makaton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and evaluate therapy programmes with the guidance of SLTs.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records using both manual and digital systems.
  • Support SLTs with group and individual sessions, and help manage dysphagia care.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing therapy materials and maintaining an inventory of resources.
  • Be a part of whole-school initiatives, from curriculum development to lunch supervision and school trips, contributing to the rich life and ethos of our school.

Why Join Us?

At Speech and Language UK, we are more than just a workplace. We are a community committed to empowering children, creating meaningful change, and providing a supportive environment for staff. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to:
