Job Description

To protect the UK, Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) needs the support of an expert team behind the scenes. As a Health & Safety/Accommodation Manager, you’ll be part of this team, dealing with a variety of building-related issues.

Join us as a Health & Safety/Accommodation Manager, and you’ll help CTP to perform at its best by making sure our buildings are safe and well-managed. Responsible for all building-related issues, from locker audits to occupancy monitoring, you’ll be a point of contact for the Metropolitan Police Services (MPS) Property Services.

You could be dealing with everything from accommodation moves to decommissioning and a whole range of other issues. Whatever the task, you’ll uphold compliance, policies, SLAs and high corporate standards.

Your work will bring you into contact with a range of people, so you must be comfortable interacting and negotiating with all kinds of stakeholders. It’s particularly important that you can represent the views and position of Special Operations and CTP HQ, for example, when discussing the MPS Estates Strategy and Asset Management Plan.

To join us, you’ll need a background in Facilities and Resource Management (or similar). Thanks to this experience, you’ll have a firm grasp of business support service provision; Health & Safety legislation; and building-related services. You will also have the ability to prioritise, manage expectations, generate solutions and project personal credibility. It’s all about guiding business decisions, managing H&S in the workplace and delivering improvements.

In return for your efforts, you can expect a rewarding role, a competitive salary, a Civil Service pension and excellent career development.
