Senior Landscape Architect with Middle Eastern Experience

We are currently seeking a talented Senior landscape architect to join Dar Al-Handasah in our London office. Experience in large-scale international projects, particularly in the Middle East, will be highly valuable. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping landscape strategies for major developments worldwide, contributing to projects that redefine the way we design and build for future generations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage landscape design projects, acting as the creative lead.
• Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary teams on international projects, primarily in the Middle East.
• Develop sustainable landscape design concepts and prepare comprehensive Design Stage Reports.
• Collaborate with global landscape design teams to progress projects from concept through detailed design stages.
• Manage client relationships, liaising through meetings and presentations to represent the company’s interests.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance (QA) system.
• Prepare financial and technical proposals.
• Supervise internal and external teams in the preparation of project documentation.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments and external consultants, including urban designers, architects, and engineers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Design (Postgraduate degree/diploma preferred).
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects with a deep understanding of the design process.
• Strong technical knowledge and project management skills, particularly in the MENA region.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed design reports and delivering presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work on a variety of scales and typologies, from master planning to site-specific design.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team.
