Based in central London, Big Sky comprises 15 studios and stages, spanning 75,000 sq ft over 5 different sites offering traditional white coves, green screens, blank canvases, virtual production suites with green screen and LED walls alongside a unique rooftop studio with undisturbed London Skyline views. To enable our spaces, we offer in-house services of lighting, digital, catering, set-build and post production, alongside a full service ecom and social content agency.



ROLE OVERVIEW


We are looking for a highly organised, friendly and enthusiastic person to join a fast-paced working environment. Working within an expanding lighting rental warehouse servicing studio and location shoots. You will need previous warehouse experience within the film or photographic industry. A proactive team leader who is highly organised, a strong communicator and works well in a very busy environment. A candidate will be eager to grow to be a key member of the company.



REPORTING


The role will report to the Head Of Lighting



RESPONSIBILITIES


· Managing a team of Lighting Operations Assistants in the day-to-day tasks of the studios and location jobs.

· Overseeing the delegation of tasks to the Lighting Operations Assistants, as well as supervising successful completion of these tasks

· Supporting the Operations Manager maintaining and developing systems to increase workflows and manage rental and sales stock effectively.

· Ensuring the smooth operation of ongoing shoots intending to client requests

· Physically fit, willing and able to help with loading and unloading heavy equipment

· Communicate and implement changes in procedure to the Operations team

· Ensure staff adhere to procedures regarding packing, setting, clearing, repairs etc.

· A clean UK drivers’ licence

· Diligent inspection of sub hired items in and out of the stores

· Responsible for planning logistics around sub hires and or location shoots

· Liaising with Quality Control Manager on the upkeep of Equipment

· Working in tandem with QCM on initiating stock checks across all sites

· Responsible for the retrieval of missing equipment in collaboration with LOM and QCM.

EXPERIENCE


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional photographic / film equipment rental house or similar.
  • Extensive knowledge of lighting equipment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of software Rental Management Software.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence with experience of driving 3.5T class vans
