Head of Legal – Trading Firm – FTC

We are partnering with a leading trading firm in their search for a Head of Legal to join their team on an initial contract basis. The firm, serving retail and institutional clients across EMEA and APAC trade across foreign currencies, commodities and treasuries.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Supervising and supporting the business and legal teams internationally on litigation, prime brokerage documentation, transactional & financial documentation, property work, the launch of new offices and institutional legal work.
2. Ensuring legal risk is mitigated, providing legal and transaction management support and advice.
3. Assuming direct line management, liaising with colleagues internationally to share important information.
4. Assisting the UK Compliance Teams and manging external legal suppliers for value and best effect.

Applicants must have at least ten years PQE with a strong contentious and transactional background, gained in a similar in-house environment, with demonstrable leadership experience and strong communication skills. Please reach out at libby.cloete@simmonsandhanbury.com for more information.
