We are currently looking for a Graduate Designer


This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution and organisation of the NPD processes and documentation. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, from managing comprehensive product documents to supporting the coordination and delivery of samples for customer requests. A key aspect of the role is maintaining high standards of photography housekeeping and documentation for each product developed, ensuring all visual and written materials are accurate and up-to-date in a timely manner.


Additionally, the Designer supports various team functions, including assisting designers with their tasks, managing raw materials, and facilitating customer presentations. Effective communication and collaboration with team members and external partners are essential to meet deadlines and fulfil customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, with a logical and pragmatic mindset who is able to cope in a fast paced and high pressure environment. While the role is focused around administration and coordination, a creative flare and passion for flowers is desired.


The primary objectives of the role


  • Maintain comprehensive and organised gate documents for each product, ensuring all customer requirements are met and updated regularly.
  • Coordinate the sending of samples for customer Public Relations (PR) requests, including booking transport and preparing samples as required.
  • Photograph each new product/sample and upload the images into the respective gate documents, ensuring high-quality visuals are available for reference.
  • Translate photo into a ‘make diagram’ and upload the images into the respective gate documents.
  • Manage the online/.com photography process, including booking shoots, raising necessary documentation, requesting samples, dispatching items, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Use gate sheets provided by NPD designers to create detailed briefs for samples, communicating effectively with the Studio Manager and ensuring deadlines are met for customer presentations.
  • Assist the Studio team with tasks such as flower conditioning and sample preparation as needed, maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Maintain the raw material master sheet, regularly updating Rubicon codes and sourcing information with the support of the Procurement and Technical teams.
  • Complete customer-specific documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all customer requirements are fulfilled.
  • Support the Studio Manager in the ordering of raw materials through various channels where needed
  • Book courier collections and deliveries to and from customers as required, coordinating with the Studio Manager for approval and scheduling.
  • Maintain a comprehensive style guide book that showcases the designs created by the team, ensuring it is up-to-date and visually appealing.
  • Review and label any deviation or notes regarding samples, prior to customer meetings.
  • Set up and dismantle the meeting room for customer presentations, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. Ensure refreshments are booked for customer meetings.
  • Support the Studio Manager and NPD Managers by ordering development samples from wholesalers as needed, ensuring all required materials are available for ongoing projects.
  • Assist New Product Development (NPD) Designers with various tasks as needed, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.


What you can already do


  • Qualifications accepted in fashion, floristry or product management arena.
  • Proven experience working as a design assistant
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in photography, photo editing software and Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Comfortable in working with a degree of ambiguity
  • Proactive and adaptable to changing priorities and requirements.
