Operations Director – Sustainable Consumer Goods Brand

Pod Talent is thrilled to be supporting an innovative and rapidly growing sustainable consumer goods brand in their search for an Operations Director. This global role is pivotal in shaping the future of a company, with sustainable, beautifully designed products. With a fast-growing customer base and recognition through multiple awards, they are looking for a leader to take ownership of global supply chain operations and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities for the position of Supply Chain Director / Operations Director:

• Lead the strategic direction of operations, aligning with the company’s mission and values.
• Oversee global supply chain and ensure processes are efficient, scalable, and sustainable.
• Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Oversee Customer Experience (CX) and sustainability functions, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Manage multiple warehouses (DTC and Amazon), continually improving efficiency and reducing costs.
• Implement and monitor KPIs, ensuring order accuracy, fulfilment speed, and efficient inventory management.
• Ensure all operations comply with regulations and industry standards, keeping up to date with relevant changes.

Key Experience Required for the Role of Supply Chain/Operations Director:

• 10+ years in senior operational leadership roles, preferably in high-growth DTC environments.
• Proven track record of scaling operations across international markets, with experience in the Far East and working with Contract Manufacturers.
• Strong strategic thinker and problem solver, with a history of driving operational excellence and efficiency.
• Demonstrated leadership in building, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams.
• Expertise in embedding sustainable business practices into day-to-day operations and long-term strategies.
• Strong financial acumen, including budget management and cost optimisation.
• Excellent communicator, capable of engaging and building relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Deep passion for sustainability, with a commitment to making a positive environmental impact.
• Ideally, experience working in both large global companies and fast-paced scale-up/start-up environments, offering a blend of corporate rigor and entrepreneurial agility.
