OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

THIS ROLE INCLUDES DRIVING LUTON VANS AND SIMILAR AND TOWING HEAVY LOADS (AIRSTREAM). EXPERIENCE IN BOTH IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE FOR THIS POSITION.

An opportunity has arisen for someone with great hospitality experience to become part of the Front of House team at a renowned and leading photography studio. This multi disciplined role will cover a variety of driving duties while also working across many in-house, client facing services at Big Sky, ranging from reception and being the first point of contact for all visitors including high profile clients, to in-house cafe support and external catering provisions including off site location shoots.

You will have an excellent understanding of the meaning of customer service and be able to multitask and work efficiently in a busy and professional environment. You will take pride in maintaining a professional, polished and friendly manner for all clients that you work with, and your confidence and exceptional customer service will allow them an outstanding experience.

This role will require flexibility with shift start times due to the nature of the business and client call times. Some evenings or weekend work may be required.

A clean UK driving licence is essential for this position. You must be at least 21 years old to apply for this role due to our insurance requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Driving

  • Responsibility as the key driver for off site catering jobs. This includes driving the trailer/ airstream.
  • Driving client catering to and from our five London studios.
  • Working as part of the location catering team including overnights, where required. This includes driving the trailer/ airstream.
  • Airstream: prepping all stock ready for location shoots, helping pack the FOH items into location vehicles, laying out and serving all F&B while on set, ensuring all stock it topped up, packing down and repacking vans for return to site.

Reception, Administration & Client Support

  • Creating a warm and welcoming reception space for clients and staff to enter and leave the building.
  • Directing clients to the correct studios/area’s around the building, monitoring who is coming in and out of the reception doors and reporting suspicious activity.
  • Managing the phones and all enquiries as necessary, along with all mail or courier administrative duties.
  • Assisting clients with any stationary needs (e.g.: signs, printing menu’s etc).

Cafe & Catering

  • Maintaining the stock and cleanliness of the Front of House services or seasonal offerings e.g.: airstream, tuk tuk
  • Producing high quality Barista style coffee and hot drinks via face to face and phone orders.
  • Using the Rental System to log all drinks ordered for the studios.
  • Ensuring detailed handovers are produced at the end of each shift.
  • Assisting with studio catering.
  • Studio kitchenette & fridge stock (stocking studios with the necessary utensils/ equipment, the requested fridge F&B stock and logging all sales).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A clean UK driving licence
  • Advanced driving licence/ further driving qualifications would be an advantage.

SKILLS

  • Must be confident driving and manoeuvring large vehicles/ vans.
  • Good understanding of MS Office (Excel, Word) and Google Suite (Gmail, Calendars).
  • Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Proactive and resourceful.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and staff.
  • Enthusiasm and positivity.
  • Excellent team player.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1 - 2 years hospitality experience.
  • 2 years driving experience of a similar nature.
