Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant looking to kickstart your career in the education industry? Our partnered secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team starting in September. This full-time role offers standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with paid to scale holiday in half terms and summer breaks.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a heart for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Autism. Candidates with experience and knowledge of SEN, including mild to severe Autism, are encouraged to apply. Previous experience working 1:1 or in small groups with children is essential. Experience with PECS or Phonics would be highly advantageous.
Daily Duties:
- Provide support to students with SEN in a classroom setting
- Assist with individualized learning activities
- Implement strategies to support students' learning and development
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to create inclusive learning environments
- Monitor and track student progress and behavior
- Support students with personal care and emotional well-being
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
