Animal Facility Attendant 2 - Pre-Clinical Research - Temporary Full-time 2024-8319

Summary of Duties The changing of food, water and bedding according to established facility schedules Daily health monitoring and general animal husbandry and animal care Washing of cages, racks and bottles. Reception and preparation of incoming animals Communication with the Veterinary care team, Principal Investigators, and lab staff Record keeping Cleaning machines, area floors, walls and equipment Restocking and request ordering of supplies as needed Qualifications/Skills Graduate of or currently enrolled in a Veterinary Technician Program or Animal Care Program Work experience in a Research setting an asset Ability to understand and problem solve issues Must have good organizational and time management skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member Excellent observational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Must have an excellent attendance record
