We are also proud to be named Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures for 2023 Learn more at shn.ca Job Description: osition Overview: You will be responsible for providing care within the Maternal Newborn program and clinics, using recognized occupational therapy practices in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records regarding patient care and for developing and maintaining a working relationship with and participating as an active member of the interdisciplinary team involved in the care of assigned patients. You will have active involvement in supportive functions such as departmental management, staff orientation, employee meetings, caseload management and program planning/management as required. Requirements: • A Baccalaureate Degree in Occupational Therapy • Licensing with the College of Occupational Therapists is mandatory • Liability insurance confirmed • Experience and interest in IP & OP Paediatric OT serving children 0-10 years with a variety of diagnoses • Knowledge of NDT and S.I. an asset • Proven interpersonal relationship skills and good judgment • Demonstrated skills and expertise in the efficient and effective provision of patient care • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues and volunteers and other members of the community and public • Demonstrates values consistent with SHN’s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation. • Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to SHN's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area. • Demonstrates excellent work performance and attendance record Asset: • Ability to speak another language is an asset Accommodation and Diversity Statement: Scarborough Health Network (SHN) embraces and celebrates our community’s unique multicultural heritage and diversity.
