This includes the designing of business intelligence solutions for Client Operations portfolio of initiatives. This is a development role that is responsible for the build of solutions (MS Power BI, VBA etc.) to solve for manual processes. Additionally, this role will drive delivery of initiatives based on data driven information for the business and can apply competency in new or moderately complex situations including managing senior stakeholders. Job Description What will you do? You will join the Business Intelligence & Risk Governance Team throughout the 8 months.The roles and responsibilities may vary depending on the projects you are assigned to support but will include: Translating business requirements into technology-based solutions, including identification of areas for improvements to address problems and support discussions necessary to implement those solutions. Determine specific business & technical requirements for solutions. Drive full engagement to ensure focus is on the top priorities through backlog prioritization and roadmap articulation. Challenges the status quo and can deal with ambiguity when driving solutions. Leverage data to provide consulting services to business stakeholders when designing the technical solution. Works independently and thinks strategically to drive priorities with cross functionalstakeholders within Client Operations. Using RBC approved software tools to capture current state problems and future state solutions that is clear to all key stakeholders. Verify requirements for quality and validate requirements with the impacted stakeholders. Change management & adoption capability, ability to drive the post implementation success and benefit realization. Documentation of all procedures for the development. Work assignments involve simple to moderate issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. What do you need to succeed? Must-have Related experience in a similar part-time/student role (building automated solutions) - Preferred. Very Strong technical skills needed Python, Microsoft Power BI, Jira (or similar tool). Challenging the status quo, driving strategic thinking and strong ability to influence and persuade others. Highly organized with good attention to detail and very high level of accuracy. Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong software skills in MS products: Excel, Visio, PowerPoint etc. Nice-to-have Previous experience working with a Financial Institution. Documenting requirements (as is process flows). Solution design documentation. Experience with presenting automated solutions to a business audience. Agile or similar skillset. Please note : In order tobe eligible for these student positions, you must either: Bereturning backto school after the work term end-date; or If you are not returning back to school (i.e.are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully.
