Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? Winter 2024 Wealth Management - Administrative Assistant (Co-op) will report to the Senior Manager, Trusts, at the BCs Regional Trust & POA team at RBC Wealth Management Royal Trust. You will provide timely and accurate support to the entire BCs regional team consisting of both Trust & POA and Estate teams - to our valued clients and internal and external wealth management partners, regarding all aspects of Trust, POA, and Estate administration work. What will you do? Assisting the Trust/Estate Officers (TO) and Trust/Estate Administrators (TA) on the inbound and outbound client correspondence via physical letter, Email, phone call and/or WebEx platform, new account opening, bill payment, account profile updates, and coordinating and troubleshooting with the teams at Canadian Wealth Management Operation on the daily account operation. Assisting the TO and TA on collaborating with the internal and external investment advisory teams for investment risk management review, suitability, and compliance documentation. Collaborating with the National Taxation team on the timely and accurate preparation of the regular T1 tax returns for POA clients, T1D tax returns for the deceased clients, T3 tax returns for the Estates, and T3 tax returns for the ongoing Trusts. Functioning as an integral part of the BC regional team to meet and exceed the client and partnership service standards. Investigating and researching on missing information and taking on special projects as assigned by TO and TA. Maintaining accurate records and assisting the TO and TA on sorting and filing physical documents. Following the policies, procedures and processes established by RBC Wealth Management Royal Trust. What do you need to succeed? Must-have General knowledge of the financial service industry. Solid communication skill, both verbal and writing. Attentive to detail, critical thinking skill, and strong work ethic. Willingness to take on tasks that can either be analytical or repetitive in-nature. Eager to learn and work in a fast-paced environment. Proficient computer skill on Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn the new IT platforms. Nice-to-have General knowledge of the Trust and Estate structures, accounting/tax and legal, and investments knowledge or courses taken would be considered strong assets.
