PC-139 - Safety and Commissioning Interface Leader

d2m Services is looking for a professional to join a O&G project characterized by the complexity of the field, a specific context, and an ambitious timeline aimed at achieving First Oil within 5 years of farm-in and operatorship transfer.

The development involves producing from subsea wells to a spread-moored FPSO, with a target of 75 kbopd, 60 kbop water injection, 400 MMscfd gas reinjection, and tandem oil offloading. The project will be guided by a technical framework tailored to its specific requirements.

ACTIVITIES:

• Act as safety and commissioning referent for the Project Field Operations Team, ensuring the FPSO design meets HSE requirements and can be safely operated.
• Oversee contractor HSE management system implementation and review HSE deviation requests.
• Coordinate with the start-up leader to align commissioning with First Oil objectives and minimize flaring.
• Prepare and coordinate the FOPS commissioning surveillance plan.
• Support production processes (metering, hydrocarbon accounting, performance, and FOMS), ensuring engineering inputs align with safe and efficient FPSO and subsea operations.
• Liaise with work packages to ensure operability requirements are met.
• Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up procedures, ensuring a smooth handover to the operations team.
• Assist in the development of operational procedures and support recruitment and training for operations teams.
• Report to the Field Operations Manager, ensuring HSE compliance.

DELIVERABLES:

• Ensure the FPSO design is safe and contractor HSE systems are implemented on time.
• Define and implement production support processes to deliver production efficiently.
• Oversee the development and validation of key strategies (Flaring, Pigging, Metering, Ramp-up, Flow Assurance, Well Performance, Process, Chemical Treatment, Laboratory).
• Ensure timely review of engineering documentation and resolve any gaps with contractors.
• Ensure operational policies comply with international standards.
• Participate in audits, REX updates, and future contract recommendations.

Requirements

We are seeking a qualified professional with the following profile to join:

The ideal candidate will hold an engineering degree and have relevant experience in an RSES/OIM role, along with a strong background in commissioning management.

Key qualities we are looking for include reliability, autonomy, analytical and organizational skills, as well as effective leadership capabilities.

Proficiency in either French or English is required, with a minimum rating of > 3.5/5.

A deep understanding of the FPSO offshore industry is essential, as this knowledge will be critical in navigating the complexities of our projects.

Benefits

The position will be based at the Contractor's offices in France until the end of detailed engineering, which is planned for summer 2026.
After that, the role will transition to China for FPSO construction and commissioning, followed by a move to Angola for FPSO start-up.

This position is required until the Project Acceptance Certificat) is achieved, with a target completion date set for the end of 2028.
