Job Description

Business Support Assistant - Finance (3-Month Contract)

Hays is working with a local government organisation seeking a Finance Business Support Assistant on a 3-month temporary contract.

The successful candidate will support the finance department with various administrative and financial tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice and credit note entry
  • Monitoring email inboxes and dealing with basic queries
  • Sending out letters via Docmail
  • Producing and amending Excel reports from the Financial System
  • Sorting Internal Post and ensuring this reaches the correct department.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a finance or administrative role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
