Position: Teaching Assistant (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)
Location: Havant, Hampshire
Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Start Date: Immediately, Temp to Perm
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.
Implement and manage behavioural strategies to create a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt resources and lesson plans to meet individual needs.
Foster a nurturing and safe environment for students to thrive both academically and emotionally.Requirements:
Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
A passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and resilience.
