Finance Manager

I am looking for an experienced, switched on and focused Finance Manager who can be on site with my client in Central London two days a week minimum.

I am looking for a problem solver with an analytical mind, end to end transactional processing experience and a good grasp of systems – the client uses Business Central and Jet Reporting, but it is not essential for you to have prior experience of these.

The Finance Director I am working with needs someone with knowledge of developing reporting, knowledge of developing KPI's and knowledge of a consolidation system i.e. group level accounting, or at least an understanding of this - if someone has knowledge of data warehousing and BI principles, this would be useful as this is where they're trying to get to as a company.

Somebody from a retail background would be ideal because the company do B2B and B2C as a company, failing that a manufacturing or FMCG background would be equally as useful and relevant.

The focus of the role is on the production of the management accounts, supporting and managing 2 transactional focussed members of staff, taking ownership of budgeting, checking sales have been posted correctly for the previous day, preparing weekly/monthly revenue reports, and making recommendations for process improvements to the Finance Director, to whom you would report directly.

There will be the usual month end management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and local/ group reporting that you will lead on, documenting processes and procedures but a big part of the role is coming up with new processes, procedures and controls to make the finance department your own as it were, which is something the Finance Director is very open to.

The company have some very ambitious growth plans which means this is an exciting time to join them – the Finance Director is looking for somebody who he can develop to take over from him within as short a window of time, under his support and guidance, so this is very much a fast track opportunity to your first Director of Finance role.
